Due to the amount of interest in the remaining 160 sections of flooring from the practice basketball courts at Breslin Center there will be a random drawing of names for the right to purchase a single section at $20. Registration for the drawing begins Monday, July 24 and ends Monday, July 31 at 11:59 p.m. EST. There is no purchase necessary to enter the drawing.
Registration is limited to one per person. Name (as written on a valid form of pictured identification), email address, home address and phone number are required for registration. Registration information collected will be used to validate entries and for contacting the winners. Duplicate and/or incomplete entries will be eliminated from the drawing. Multiple individuals from the same household may enter the drawing if they have a valid form of photo identification. Valid forms of photo identification include a driver’s license, an ID card issued by federal, state or local government agencies or entities, passport or passport card.
Winners will be announced by 12:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, August 1, by Facebook post. Winners will be notified by email. Employees of the MSU Surplus Store & Recycling Center are not eligible to win.
Payment will be required at the time of pickup. A valid form of photo ID that matches name and address submitted with registration information must be presented at the time of pickup. Hours for payment and pickup of sections will be:
Additional accommodations may be considered for winners who cannot make it to the Surplus Store to pick up at any of these times.
MSU Surplus Store & Recycling Center will not ship any of the sections due to crating needs of the large and heavy sections. However, MSU Surplus Store & Recycling Center may accommodate winners who contract with a 3rd party shipping company to prepare and ship sections. The expected cost of this service is between $200-500.
Mass registrations generated by a script, macro or use of automated devices will be disqualified.
MSU Surplus Store & Recycling Center reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the drawing in the event it becomes infected by a computer virus or is otherwise technically impaired, and to cancel or suspend the drawing in its entirety should tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or other causes corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the drawing and, if terminated, at MSU Surplus Store & Recycling Center’s discretion, determine winners using all non-suspect, eligible entries received up to time of cancellation.
MSU Surplus Store & Recycling Center reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual (and void his/her registration) it finds to be tampering with the registration process or the operation of the drawing, intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person registering for the drawing, MSU Surplus Store & Recycling Center, or any of its representatives or to otherwise be acting in violation of these general rules.
Michigan State University and its respective officers, directors, agents, representatives, and employees (collectively, “Released Parties”) are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, stolen, altered, garbled, incorrect, incomplete or delayed registrations; all of which will be void. Released Parties are also not responsible for problems related to technical malfunctions of electronic equipment, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer hardware or software failures, phone lines, failure of any registration to be received by MSU Surplus Store & Recycling Center on account of technical problems, traffic, congestion on the internet or the website, or for any other technical problems including telecommunication, miscommunication or failure, and failed, lost, delayed, incomplete, garbled, or misdirected communications which may limit a person’s ability to participate in this drawing.
