Blue cloth cover with orange spyglass silhouette is clean with crisp corners and edges. Spine is tight with some discoloration at top and rubbing on top and bottom. Text is pristine as is Russell H. Tandy frontispiece illustration. Stain on edge of pages. Previous owner's name and address on orange illustrated end page. Dust jacket is in fair to poor condition with less than 1 inch tears to top, bottom and creases. No taping however. White dj spine is colored with age. Advert list on dj flap cover lists to The Message in the Hollow Oak which places this printing to around 1935.
