The majority of these articles are toning due to age. Some are tearing, creasing, and have some wear on the edges.

The following articles are written by (or written about) Jim Jacobs, who, at the time, was an associate professor of Social Science at Macomb Community College. He was later the president of Macomb Community College from 2008-2017. Some articles have duplicates. Many of the articles were part of Jacobs' "Hard Times" newspaper column. As such, the majority of these articles are clipped from newspapers.
