  • Unit is an automated microbiology analyzer used for microbial identification and antibiotic susceptibility. 
  • Features keypad and screen for operation and utilizes specialized cards to provide results in about 6-8 hours.
  • VITEK 2 Cards: The system uses ready-to-use, playing-card-sized disposable plastic cards containing 64 microwells that house individual test substrates.
  •  Technicians prepare a standardized microbial suspension and load it into a cassette. The instrument automatically fills the cards, cuts the transfer tubes, seals the cards, and places them into the built-in carousel incubator.
  •  The system reads the cards every 15 minutes using colorimetric and turbidimetric optical systems to measure metabolic activity.
  • When unit is powered on it displays error code on screen.

Standard Shipping

If the buyer provides a PO Box, items are mailed through the U.S. Postal Service. Special shipping arrangements such as companies not listed, local pickup and freight services may be available upon request.

Local Pickup

There is no charge for local pickup. Customers will receive notification when their order is ready for pickup. Pickup times are Monday-Friday between 8:00am and 3:30pm and Wednesday between 8:00am and 5:45pm. Customers will have 5 business days to pick up their order.

Freight Shipping

Due to the size and weight of certain items, we offer customer arranged freight shipping. The buyer is responsible for the arrangement and payment of all related shipping and handling charges. Palletizing, crating, shrink wrapping and banding services are available for a fee.
